Robosys Expands Integration Capability with OXE Marine

Robosys continues to expand the capabilities of its VOYAGER AI autonomy platform through the successful integration of OXE Marine twin diesel outboard engines and the Dometic SeaStar steering system onboard a 40-foot Autonomous Catamaran Landing Craft developed for Tactical Composites in the U.S.

The project demonstrates the flexibility of the VOYAGER AI software suite, enabling remote control and advanced maritime autonomy across a wide range of vessel types and propulsion configurations.

By integrating with commercially proven systems such as OXE Marine’s diesel outboards and Dometic SeaStar steering technology, Robosys is helping vessel operators adopt autonomous capabilities without the need for entirely bespoke hardware solutions.

The integration highlights a growing trend within the maritime sector towards retrofitting existing vessels and platforms with intelligent control technologies. This approach offers operators a practical pathway to autonomy while maximising the value of established marine systems and reducing the complexity of deployment.

Designed for demanding operational environments, the Autonomous Catamaran Landing Craft showcases how advanced propulsion, steering and autonomy technologies can work together to support remote and autonomous missions.

Applications span defence, security, offshore operations, logistics, survey and other commercial marine sectors where reliability, precision and operational efficiency are paramount.

As autonomous vessel technology continues to mature, projects such as this reinforce the importance of open integration and interoperability.

VOYAGER AI’s ability to interface with a broad range of marine equipment allows Robosys to support both new-build unmanned surface vessels (USVs) and the growing retrofit market, helping accelerate the adoption of autonomous operations across the maritime industry.
