Full time Marine Application Engineer based in Massachusetts, USA

What will you do?
  • Perform onsite and remote technical assistance including trouble shooting, repairing, and recording issues
  • Perform onsite and remote installation and service support that includes complete project understanding
  • Prepare and present reports as required
  • Provide on-going training and sales support to partners and resellers
  • Help to develop training program and materials
  • Create and deliver formal presentations to end users, partners and resellers
  • Prepare, edit, and review technical customer support documents
  • Maintain good working relationships with departments
  • Coordinate and communicate engineering activities
  • Communicate customer activity
  • Increase and maintain customer satisfaction
  • Ability to understand and work with marine electronics
  • Ability to produce complex application specific wiring integration diagrams

The successful applicant will have many of the following attributes:

  • BSc engineering degree backed up by marine engineering experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
  • Fluency with marine electrical, wiring and CAN network systems
  • Ability to produce complex application specific wiring integration diagrams
  • Ability to multitask and maintain a professional and positive attitude
  • Self-starting with great customer service and team skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Organizational and planning skills with an eye for detail
  • Be prepared to spend plenty of time travelling worldwide

C# C++/Cli Developer

As a C# c++/cli developer, you’ll be playing a key role in the design, installation, testing and maintenance of our Voyager software systems.  We are market leaders in autonomous navigation systems for the maritime sector and you will be shaping the future of life at sea.  Seagoing experience is not necessary – but some curiosity about the world we live in will certainly help!

Skills required for the C# C++/Cli Developer Developer

  • Expertise in current computer hardware and software
  • Ability to use one or more development language (.Net, c#, C++/Cli, C++)
  • Knowledge of multi threading and socket connections
  • Functional testing, ability to create logical testing scenario
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Eye for detail and identifying problems
  • Knowledge of Robotics an advantage
